As a prolific Producer / Director of Audio Drama, very rarely does one come along these days for me, where I can just sit back and enjoy the listen for pleasure, rather than listening with an analytical brain in full effect. This is very much one of those rarities. Right from the very scene I was hooked into this amazing story, with beautifully crafted characters. The production is nothing short of elegant as well.

Hearty big congrats to the cast and crew here. Superb job all, and way to go Laura.

So when’s the next one due out ?

Rock on – Looking forward to it.

  6. Curtis Says:

Intriguing story line, excellently crafted. The use of dialog to inform the listener was done about as well as could be, I think.
Vocal performances were quite good, as were the SFX.

Where this fell apart for me was in the careless engineering; far too much volume change, stereo imaging glitches in vocals, and a short segment when the main microphone got lost almost completely. Bridge music got cut off too short a couple times instead of fading out or under. Some background sounds overrode the vocals now and then. If it can’t be remixed, it should at least be compressed.

When is the next part due? I want to find out how this ends.

Thank you Curtis, for the constructive crit. We’ll definitely keep all of the above in mind when mixing the latter episodes. We don’t have a definitive date for part 2, so keep your eyes open. It’s a serial show, so we’ll have several more episodes. I hope you enjoy them 🙂
